Jose Pereira, also known as “Djudje di Regina” was born in the City of Sao Filipe, on the Island of Fogo, Cape Verde. His mixed media art works are created by using materials nostalgic from his days of working with his father gathering similar materials for residential and commercial construction in his hometown.
From an early age, Jose always loved to draw. He looked at everything as a canvas from paper, the floor and even beach sand using pencil, chalk, or ballpoint pen. Animals, people, and objects became his subjects, and quickly attracted the attention of his family members, teachers and surrounding communities.
His artworks also as been exhibited globally in Galleries and institutions in Portugal, Holland, Norway, and United States.

Since 7/2000, employed by World Disney World Company to the present. Artist with 30 years of experience.

As a last note, it is worthy to mention that a large portion of his works are in the hands of private art collectors from:USA (Orlando, Florida; Brockton and Boston; Massachusetts), France, Cabo Verde, Angola and Norway
